Full Body Massage
A blend of Swedish and Esalen massage using long
flowing strokes, combined with kneading, to enhance circulation
and relax muscles.
Hot Stone
Therapy
The warmth of heated stones penetrates
the muscles, providing an immediate relaxation response.
Maternity Massage
Massage designed to relieve fatigue, enhance sleep, and
calm an active baby. Additional benefits include an increase
in muscle tone and flexibility, which will assist in alleviating
leg cramps and muscle spasms.
Reflexology
Foot, hand and ear reflexology is a scientific art based
on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in
the feet, hands and ears that correspond to all body parts.
The physical act of applying specific pressures using
thumb, finger and hand techniques results in stress reduction,
which causes a physiological change in the body.
Concentrated
Massage
Chair or table massage focused on specific areas of the
body, usually the back, neck and shoulders or the legs
and feet.
Sports Massage
Therapeutic massage designed to reduce heart rate and
blood pressure, increase blood circulation and lymph flow,
reduce muscle tension, improve flexibility, and relieve
pain. Sports massage may include pre-event, post-event
and maintenance techniques to promote greater athletic
endurance, enhance performance, lessen chances of injury,
and reduce recovery time.
Myofascial
Release
A therapeutic technique used to ease constriction in fibrous
bands of connective tissue (or fascia) that encase the
muscles throughout the body.
Manual Lymph
Drainage
A therapeutic technique performed with the hands and fingers
simulating gentle, wave-like motions. These subtle manual
maneuvers activate lymph and interstitial fluid circulation,
as well as stimulate the functioning of the immune and
parasympathetic nervous systems.
Candling
Ear candles are long hollow tubes made of wrapped muslin
or linen coated in beeswax or paraffin. The tapered end
of this drip-less candle is placed gently into the ear,
forming a seal. The other end, when lighted, draws oxygen
for the flame, creating a gentle vacuum that suctions
impurities from the ear canal. The sensation is similar
to listening to the sea with a seashell.
